I excitedly picked up my copy of the three disc version of the new Wall*E bright and early today. And I imagine a good part of my day will be spent diving into the Extras. It hasn't been confirmed, but I can't help shaking the feeling that Pixar was influenced in appearance and name by actor, comedian and Marlon Brando BFF Wally (Underdog) Cox. Maybe it's just me...

PS: Just watched the Burn*E short on the DVD. Genius.

Rochester High Falls International Film Festival

Last week I put some videos into competition in the Rochester High Falls International Film Festival, which was originally set up as a showcase for women filmmakers (which is still a preference) but now has opened up the doors a bit. Just wanted to encourage any animators or live action filmmakers reading this to throw their work into the ring. You will have missed the earlybird specials on the entry fees, but it's still in the $35.00 range, and it gets bigger every year. Go to rochestermoviefest.com for more info.

Election 2008

Well, I got my birthday wish, the day after my birthday, and the numbers are better than I could have wished for. I really hope this election is going to be a game changer. But as my illustration implies, there's a ton of hard work ahead of us.
